Understanding Group Payouts
When distributing Robux to group members, Roblox applies a 30% marketplace fee. This is the same fee applied to all marketplace transactions.
Example Calculation
If your group has 10,000 Robux and you want to split it among 5 members:
- Total Funds: 10,000 Robux
- Marketplace Tax (30%): 3,000 Robux
- Amount After Tax: 7,000 Robux
- Per Person (÷5): 1,400 Robux each
When Is Tax Applied?
The 30% tax is applied when:
- Paying out group funds to members
- Selling group items or game passes
- Any marketplace transaction
The tax is NOT applied when:
- Simply viewing group funds
- Transferring funds between groups (if applicable)
- Group members donate Robux to the group
